India is not looking for advisors or commentators, but partners; External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar sharply criticizes countries that interfere unnecessarily.

He made it clear that India seeks partners, not advisors. Jaishankar was responding to a question about what India expects from Europe at the Arctic Circle India Forum.

"India doesn't need advisors, it needs partners. We have no use for those who offer advice from abroad on things they haven't implemented in their own countries. Some European leaders still have this issue, though there has been change among others," Jaishankar said.

He emphasized that building partnerships between countries requires mutual understanding, alignment of interests, and a correct perspective on global matters. He added that India is engaging in discussions at various levels with different parts of Europe on these issues and noted that some have moved further ahead in this regard.
