Indian charged with sexual assault of 11-year old in New Jersey

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Venkata
Bondapalli, 46, (single; clerk) of 70 Hillie Place, Ridgefield Park, New
Jersey, on charges of Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Recently, the Ridgefield Park Police Department and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that he inappropriately touched an eleven-year-old victim during the month of June 2017 while in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey
As a result of the investigation and interviews, he was placed under arrest on August 10, 2017 and charged with violating one count of Sexual Assault by Sexual Contact, a 2nd degree crime, and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a 3rd degree crime.
Venkata Bondapalli was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance at the Bergen County Central Judicial Court on Friday, August 11, at 1:30 p.m.
Bergen County Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would like to thank the Ridgefield Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
