Asha Thomas Mathew Honored with Women Empowerment Award 2025 TV Anchor | Socio Cultural leader

This year marks a remarkable milestone for Asha Thomas Mathew, as she receives the prestigious Women Empowerment Award 2025 from the India Press Club of North America (IPCNA). Asha’s journey stands out as a distinct example of leadership, resilience, and vision among women professionals and community leaders.
Asha’s contributions to IPCNA have been especially noteworthy — from her dynamic role at the Media Award Night in Kochi to her leadership during the 11th International Media Conference & Award Night held at the Hilton, Edison, New Jersey, USA, on October 11–12, 2025. Her ability to blend professionalism with creativity continues to inspire those around her.

She also believes that as the only woman on the Executive Board, she owes a great deal of gratitude to President Sunil Tristar for creating a space where she felt comfortable and valued — a space where her voice truly mattered, empowering her to step up and contribute meaningfully.
Asha is admired as a role model for modern women, seamlessly balancing her professional career and personal passions. She believes in contributing wholeheartedly to every space she’s part of — engaging others, leading with confidence, and inspiring collective progress.

Reflecting on her journey, Asha often emphasizes that anything is possible when we believe in ourselves and have the support of family and community.
Asha extends her heartfelt gratitude to her alma mater, St. Joseph’s Anglo Indian Girls’ High School, for shaping her values and confidence, and to her parents and loving family — her husband Sibu, and daughters Nessa and Tia — for being her constant source of strength, inspiration, and her greatest cheerleaders.
Her recognition this year is not just a personal milestone but a celebration of purpose, perseverance, and empowerment — a testament to the belief that when passion meets purpose, success naturally follows.

She holds the rare distinction of serving simultaneously on the National Executive Boards of two prominent organizations — as the Joint Secretary of the India Press Club of North America (IPCNA) and the Secretary of the Women’s Forum of the Federation of Malayalee Associations of Americas (FOMAA). Through these leadership roles, Asha has championed numerous initiatives aimed at empowering women, fostering collaboration, and creating platforms for growth and dialogue.
