Ford India increases domestic sales

Chennai, Oct 1: Car maker Ford India Pvt Ltd on Saturday said it closed September selling 22,590 vehicles.
In a statement the company said its combined domestic wholesales and exports stood at 22,590 units (domestic 9,018 units, exports 13,572 units) last month in comparison to 22,428 units (domestic 8,274 units, exports 14,154 units) sold in September 2015.
"Good monsoons, the Seventh Pay Commission and reasonable inflation are helping drive the Indian automotive industry," Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director-Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India was quoted as saying in the statement.
