A South Indian Talent for Hollywood; Teja Chillara's 'Crown & Conflict' Makes History.

A television show based on the world of dentistry is being developed for the first time in Hollywood. Behind this groundbreaking project is Teja Chillara , a young Indian-American talent born and raised in the U.S. Titled “Crown & Conflict,” the project is currently in various stages of production. This fresh concept, never before explored on a major Hollywood platform, originated from a viral TikTok video that gained over 260,000 views and overwhelmingly positive responses, eventually leading to the show's creation.

Set against the backdrop of New York City, the series will entertainingly portray the lives, friendships, rivalries, and cultural identity struggles of first-year dental school students. Its narrative style is expected to follow in the footsteps of hit shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Suits.”

What makes this show even more remarkable is that Teja Chillara  will serve as the showrunner, writer, and lead actor. For someone pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, this is a rare and impressive achievement. Alongside his medical education, Teja  has proven his talent as both an actor and storyteller. He represents a new generation of Indian-American youth who excel in both academics and the arts. His accomplishment is one the entire Indian community can take pride in.

Leah Rowell is a screenwriter and actress with a BFA in Mass Media and a minor in Theatre. She has earned top recognition in over ten screenwriting competitions, with multiple scripts advancing to first place and quarterfinalist rounds.

Ryan O'Donoghue is a TV Writer who graduated from UCLA's TV Writing Professional Program and has been a Finalist in four TV Writing contests since 2020. He has been commissioned by multiple production companies to co-create TV pilots and contributes script coverage to several screenwriting competitions and festivals.
