Their romance began the moment Matt Damon met Luciana, who was then working as a waitress at a restaurant. An Argentine by origin, Luciana was struggling as a single mother in the U.S. after the father of her only daughter abandoned them.

The cinematic moment happened while she was working at a bar in Miami. At the time, Matt Damon had grown a beard and longer hair for a film role and wasn’t easily recognizable.
