Ahmedabad Plane Crash; Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani Suspected to Have Been on Board

Ahmedabad: An Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after takeoff. While there is speculation that former Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP leader Vijay Rupani was on board, this has not been officially confirmed by the government.
The 69-year-old Vijay Rupani served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2016 to 2021, succeeding Anandiben Patel.
Preliminary reports indicate that the crashed aircraft had 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. The plane reportedly went down shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad airport. Further details about the incident are yet to emerge.
