Hyderabad: In the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant—a celebration of beauty and talent—Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025. The reigning Miss World 2024, Kristýna Píšková, presented her with the crown. The grand finale took place at the HITEX Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, with contestants from 108 countries competing for the coveted title.
The competition, held from May 7 to 31, included cultural exchange programs and social service initiatives as part of its agenda.
India’s representative, Nandini Gupta, did not make it to the top eight. The final four contestants hailed from Poland, Ethiopia, Thailand, and Martinique. A nine-member jury, which included actor Sonu Sood and Sudha Reddy, selected the winner.
Focused on the theme “Beauty With a Purpose,” the pageant aims to empower young women and helped bring global attention to India’s rich cultural heritage.
