New York is the best city in the world; ranks first for the second consecutive year in Oxford Economics index.
New York: For the second consecutive year, New York City has retained the top spot in Oxford Economics’ Global Cities Index. The city achieved this milestone with a perfect score of 100. The ranking evaluated 1,000 cities around the world based on five key categories: economy, human capital, quality of life, environment, and governance.
While New York ranked first in the economic sector, it fell behind in governance and environmental categories. This index plays a crucial role in assessing cities' overall development and future potential. Other cities in the top five include London, Paris, San Jose, and Seattle.
