No country can have a 100% foolproof security system; security lapses should not be a topic of discussion right now: Shashi Tharoor

Congress Working Committee member Shashi Tharoor stated that the intelligence failure in preventing the terrorist attack in Pahalgam should not be discussed at this time. He added that no country can have a 100% foolproof security system, citing Israel as an example. Tharoor emphasized that security lapses can be examined later, but right now, it should not be the focus.
He pointed out that no one hears about the terrorist attacks that are successfully prevented — only those that fail to be stopped come to light. This, he said, happens in every country. Tharoor acknowledged that failures have occurred, but stressed that the attention should not be on that at the moment.
