There are 104 Pakistanis in Kerala; 59 must leave the country, while those with long-term visas are not required to return.

According to data from the police and various central agencies, there are 104 Pakistani nationals currently residing in Kerala. The Union Home Ministry has issued a directive to the Chief Minister, stating that these individuals must be deported immediately. However, the order clarifies that Pakistani nationals who are on long-term visas and have been living in Kerala for years, often through marriage, are not required to leave the state. The rest must be deported by next Tuesday.

Of the 104, 59 individuals who arrived on temporary visas for business, tourism, or medical treatment are required to leave the country immediately. In Kerala, 45 are on long-term visas, 55 on visitor visas, and three have come for medical treatment. One person is currently imprisoned for illegally entering the country.

Most of those on long-term visas are concentrated in the Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Those who arrived on medical visas must leave the country by the 29th, while those on tourist and other short-term visas must leave by the 27th, according to the directive from the Union Home Ministry. The official order reached the state on Friday afternoon.
