Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a letter to Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus on the occasion of Bangladesh's National Day, extending his greetings. In the letter, Modi emphasized the importance of working together while prioritizing mutual interests and concerns.
"My congratulations to you and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of your National Day. This day stands as a testimony to the shared history and sacrifices that laid the foundation for our bilateral partnership. Bangladesh’s Liberation War continues to serve as a guiding light for our relationship, fostering growth across various sectors and benefiting our people. We remain committed to advancing our partnership based on common goals of peace, stability, and prosperity," Modi stated.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu, also extended her wishes to Bangladesh. "On behalf of the Government of India, the people of India, and myself, I extend my warm greetings and congratulations to Bangladesh on its National Day," Murmu wrote.
Both Modi and Muhammad Yunus are set to participate in the BIMSTEC summit scheduled to be held in Bangkok on April 3-4.
