In a shocking incident, a 62-year-old woman named Amina was brutally murdered by her son in Kalpakanchery, Malappuram. The accused, who is reported to have mental health issues, has been taken into police custody. The horrifying crime took place in Kavupura, Kalpakanchery, around 7 AM.

Amina lived with her husband and their mentally challenged son. At the time of the incident, her husband was away at work at a meat shop.

The murder occurred after an argument between Amina and her son. When she refused to comply with his demands, he became enraged. Suddenly, he took a knife from the kitchen and attacked her from behind. As Amina cried out in pain, he picked up a gas cylinder and struck her on the head, killing her instantly.

Shockingly, even after the murder, the son showed no remorse and remained inside the house. It was the neighbors who informed the police. The accused is now in police custody.
