Changes in ₹50 notes across the country; new notes to be released soon.

RBI to Print New ₹50 Notes Following Sanjay Malhotra’s Appointment as Governor
Following the appointment of Sanjay Malhotra as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), an announcement has been made regarding the printing of new ₹50 currency notes. RBI issued an official notification about this in the past few days. This has raised concerns among the public about the fate of existing ₹50 notes.

However, RBI has assured that there is no need for concern regarding the introduction of new notes, as it will not impact currency circulation. Reports indicate that the new notes will be printed as a continuation of the existing series, meaning that old notes will remain valid. Those holding the current ₹50 notes can continue using them without any issues. The printing of new notes is part of a routine process.

The dimensions of the country's currency notes remain 66 mm x 135 mm, and the new ₹50 notes will maintain the same size. The color of these notes will continue to be an attractive fluorescent blue. The front side will feature a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, while the reverse side will display the image of the stone chariot from Hampi, just like the existing notes.

The new ₹50 notes will bear the signature of the newly appointed RBI Governor, Sanjay Malhotra.
