Fake Christmas-New Year Bumper Lottery tickets printed; CPM Punalur North Local Committee member arrested.

A CPM Punalur North Local Committee member has been arrested for allegedly printing and selling fake Christmas-New Year Bumper Lottery tickets through his lottery shops. The accused, Baiju Khan (38), who lived in a rented house near Valakode School, is a former DYFI village secretary.
Baiju Khan was working as a temporary lift operator at the Punalur Taluk Headquarters Hospital. He owned two lottery shops in the TB Junction area, known as Mini Pump, where around 100 stalls operate during the Mandalakala season.
The scam involved buying original tickets from an agency, making color prints that looked identical, and selling them between December 12 and 24.
