Vyttila Army Flat Demolition: Meeting on the 23rd of this month; Other towers can be demolished without damaging Tower A.

Following the detection of structural instability at the Chandarkunj Army Flats in Vyttila, Ernakulam, a committee appointed by the High Court conducted an inspection. The inspection was led by Ernakulam District Collector N.S.K. Umesh.

According to the district collector, the A Tower remains unaffected, and the other towers can be demolished without causing any damage to it. The structural weakness was identified in B and C Towers, leading the High Court to order their demolition. The collector assured that the demolition process would be completed as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, the apartment owners' association has decided to convene a general body meeting to discuss the demolition. The meeting is scheduled for the 23rd of this month, after which the association will clarify its stance on the demolition. Concerns regarding rent, the cost of new apartments, and related matters will be discussed in the meeting and communicated to the collector.
