Four bruises on the face, nose, and head; liver cirrhosis and cysts in the kidneys; Neyyattinkara Gopan's post-mortem report released.

The post-mortem report of Neyyattinkara Gopan, whose burial in a seated position sparked controversy, has been released. The report states that there were four bruises on his face, nose, and head. Additionally, he had over 75% blockage in his coronary arteries, liver cirrhosis, cysts in the kidneys, and ulcers on his leg. However, doctors noted that to determine whether these conditions directly caused his death, further internal examination results are needed.

Following the controversy over his burial, authorities exhumed Gopan’s body from the grave. His remains were found seated and covered with ashes and ritual offerings. The post-mortem was conducted after suspicions were raised regarding his death.

His children, who had buried him in a seated position, stated that they did so as per their father’s wishes, in accordance with the rituals on Ekadashi day.
