Legends proved futile; conspiracy by Sangh Parivar to ignite tensions over meat found in the temple was foiled by a cat

Rumors Quashed as Protest Fizzles Out—The Villain Was a Cat
In Hyderabad, what was initially perceived as a communal controversy turned out to be nothing more than an incident involving a cat. The controversy erupted when a piece of meat was found near the Jir Hanuman Temple, prompting BJP and VHP to demand action, alleging a conspiracy. However, their plans were foiled when CCTV footage revealed that a stray cat had carried the meat into the temple premises.
Following the discovery of the meat near the temple idol, BJP and VHP leaders staged protests, claiming that temples in Hyderabad were unsafe under Congress rule. BJP MLA Raja Singh warned of large-scale protests if the culprits were not arrested. Fearing unrest, local shops shut down, and the area saw a temporary exodus of people.
To address the situation, the police launched an intensive investigation, reviewing CCTV footage from the area. It was then that they uncovered the truth—footage showed a cat carrying the piece of meat into the temple. Deputy Police Commissioner Chandramohan urged people to refrain from spreading baseless rumors.
