Malappuram Thel Para, a bear that had entered the inhabited area, was trapped

A group of bears entered a residential area in Thalapara, Malappuram. The bears were trapped in a cage set up by the Forest Department in the premises of the Thalapara Kurumpa Temple. The Forest Department set up the cage due to the increasing nuisance caused by the bear in the residential area.

Forest Department officials arrived at the scene and took the bear to the Nedunkayam Forest Station. Amid ongoing wildlife attacks in the state, a high-level meeting will be held today under the leadership of the Forest Minister. The meeting will take place at 2 PM at the Forest Department headquarters. The move is to intensify patrolling in forest areas by involving various departments. A primary response team, including locals and volunteers, will also be engaged in the patrolling efforts.
