A private bus traveling from Bengaluru to Kannur was completely destroyed by fire during the journey. A major disaster was averted as the vehicle was stopped in time and passengers were safely evacuated upon noticing the fire.
The bus belonged to Ashoka Travels. The fire broke out at the rear of the bus when it reached Maddur. Upon noticing smoke, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle. The passengers were later accommodated in other buses to continue their journey to Kannur.
