Cooling beverages that beat the summer heat; Risk of tooth decay and osteoporosis.

Do You Rely on Cold Beverages to Beat the Summer Heat?
If so, you might be forgetting about your teeth, bones, and possibly even your life. The phosphoric acid present in cold beverages can damage tooth enamel, leading to tooth decay. Moreover, regular consumption of these drinks increases the risk of calcium depletion in bones, weakening them, according to experts.
Additionally, the China Health and Nutritional Survey conducted a study on 17,000 Chinese citizens and found that those who frequently consumed cold beverages had a higher incidence of bone fractures. The main reason for this is bone density reduction and bone deterioration, a process known as decalcification, which depletes calcium from the bones, making them fragile.
Effects of Cold Beverages
Acidity in these drinks erodes tooth enamel, increasing the risk of tooth decay.
Phosphoric acid reduces calcium levels in bones, making them weaker.
Caffeine interferes with calcium absorption, negatively affecting bone health.
Increases the risk of osteoporosis, a condition that weakens bones and makes them prone to fractures.
