Attempted Murder Over Objection to Being Addressed as 'Nee'

The incident took place in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur. A dispute over repositioning a bus led to a violent clash between employees. Tamil Nadu native Sundarapandian (30) was arrested for attacking Satheesh (45), a resident of Poomangalam, Edakkulathukara.

The attack occurred on the night of the 4th at around 10 PM in front of Star Benz Spare Parts, located opposite the Avaran Petrol Pump in Irinjalakuda.

During the argument, Sundarapandian objected to being addressed as 'Nee' (an informal way of saying 'you' in Malayalam) and, in retaliation, pushed Satheesh down before attacking him with a vehicle’s brake liner, hitting him on the head and face. This resulted in deep injuries. When Sundarapandian attempted to strike Satheesh on the head again, Satheesh tried to defend himself with his hands. In the struggle, Sundarapandian bit Satheesh's thumb, causing further injury.

Due to the severe injuries sustained by Satheesh, the police registered a case and launched an investigation, which led to Sundarapandian's arrest. The investigation team included Sub-Inspectors Cletus and Dinesh, along with police officers Saneesh, Ranjith, and Krishnadas.
