"Chenthamara demanded chicken and rice; Caught while returning home exhausted and hungry, he will be presented in court today

The accused, Chenthamara, who committed the double murder in Nenmara, surrendered without any resistance and entered the lockup. Upon entering, he told the police that he was hungry and demanded chicken and rice. After a two-day search, which lasted for two days and nights, Chenthamara was finally caught by the police.

"While on the run and exhausted from hunger, Chenthamara was caught by the police when he came near his house to get food. At the time of his arrest, he was in a weak condition. As soon as he arrived at the station, he claimed to be hungry and demanded food. The police immediately bought idli and omelet from a nearby mess and provided them to him. It was also clarified during the medical examination that the accused had not consumed poison, despite previously claiming to have done so the day before.

Upon learning of the accused's arrest, locals gathered in front of the police station and demanded his release. A crowd gathered to protest, and the gate of the police station was broken due to pushing and shoving. As the protest turned violent, the police had to use lathis to disperse the crowd. Considering the public outrage, Chenthamara was moved from the Nenmara police station to the Alathoor DySP office early in the morning. Detailed questioning will be conducted at the DySP office under the supervision of senior officers. Afterward, he is expected to be presented in court in the afternoon.

The accused also says that Lakshmi, the mother of the murdered Sudhakaran, is responsible for all the problems. Chenthamara is going to jail in connection with the murder case of his neighbor, Sajitha, in 2019. The double murder in Nenmara took place at around 9:30 AM on Monday.
