Fired from his job, a young man climbed a building and threatened suicide. The incident occurred at Angadippuram around 10:30 AM on Saturday. M. Faisal, who was a temporary driver at the Panchayat Day Care, had been dismissed following a decision made by the Panchayat governing committee meeting the previous day.

Faisal had also been staging an indefinite sit-in protest in front of the Panchayat office. Yesterday morning, Congress workers organized a demonstration expressing solidarity with Faisal's solo protest. Amidst this, Faisal suddenly ran up to the top floor of the building.He reached the third floor and threatened to jump, issuing a suicide threat. After some time, Congress workers and the police managed to persuade him, went upstairs, and forcibly brought him down from the building.
