MANTRAH Condemns Violence Against Hindus in Bangladesh: Calls for Global Action*

*[Charlotte, North Carolina - December 9:
MANTRAH, North American Global Malayalee Hindu organization dedicated to upholding the principles of Sanatana Dharma and advocating for marginalized communities, expresses its profound sadness and concern over the recent surge in violence against the Hindu community in Bangladesh. The MANTRAH Board of Directors and Trustee Board unanimously condemned these atrocities, which have targeted Hindus, their places of worship, and their properties, and underscored the urgent need for international intervention and action.

The escalating violence—marked by over 200 reported attacks on minorities, including Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians —serves as a stark reminder of the systematic marginalization these groups face. The declining Hindu population in Bangladesh highlights the persistent oppression endured by the community. These incidents are not isolated acts of injustice but are rooted in a dangerous, deep-seated ideology that undermines coexistence and mutual respect.

“Every act of injustice deserves to be addressed with empathy and accountability,” said Syam Sankar, President of MANTRAH. “The recent attacks on minority communities in Bangladesh are not just violations of human rights—they are a call to the global conscience to stand against hate and intolerance.”

MANTRAH calls upon international organizations, governments, and human rights bodies to stand in solidarity with the victims and take decisive steps to ensure justice and security for the Hindu community in Bangladesh. The organization also emphasizes the need to address systemic issues that perpetuate such violence while fostering a culture of peace and inclusion.

As part of its mission, MANTRAH remains steadfast in advocating for the rights and dignity of all marginalized groups. The organization reaffirms its commitment to promoting understanding, unity, and the universal values of harmony and respect.

“Let us unite to voice our concerns and work towards a world where hatred and violence have no place,” added Syam Sankar.
