National Police Association Endorses Kash Patel for FBI Director, Citing National Security Expertise

December 7 :
Kash Patel's candidacy as FBI director has the support of the National Police Association (NPA), which has praised his background in public service, law enforcement, and national security. The NPA released a statement praising Patel's leadership and saying he can improve relations between the people and police. The NPA highlighted Kash Patel's record of service as evidence of his steadfast commitment to protecting the American people, defending justice, and maintaining the rule of law.
Patel has collaborated on high-stakes operations with federal, state, and local authorities over his career. He has also served as a federal prosecutor, focusing on violent crime and drug trafficking on an international scale. During his time as Senior Counsel to the House Intelligence Committee, he spoke up for the importance of institutional integrity, exposed wrongdoing, and gained the admiration of those working in law enforcement.
According to the NPA, Patel's knowledge of counterterrorism, intelligence, and difficult operational problems is an asset, and the public's confidence and interagency cooperation depend on the FBI's leadership. Additional proof of his suitability for the position was his background as chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense. The association expressed confidence in Patel's capacity to rebuild public faith in the FBI and strengthen coordination with police forces nationwide, calling his probable appointment a "pivotal moment" for law enforcement.
