Ro Khanna Seeks to Curb Government Spending Waste in Collaboration with Elon Musk and DOGE

December 7 :
On December 5th, Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna of California announced his plan to work with DOGE head Vivek Ramaswamy and billionaire Elon Musk to cut wasteful expenditure in the federal government, especially on defense. The fact that both Musk and Ramaswamy commented positively on Khanna's X post demonstrates that there is bipartisan interest in finding solutions to inefficiencies.

"I am prepared to collaborate with @doge, @elonmusk, and @VivekGRamaswamy in our shared goal of reducing waste," Khanna stated. There is evidence that I have done this before. Following the exposure of price gouging by investigative reporting, I spearheaded the effort to have TransDigm repay $16 million. Let us follow the lead of the Truman Committee and make sure the American people receive the most out of their defense budget.

Ramaswamy wrote, "Thank you for keeping an open mind, @RoKhanna!" in response to Khanna's outreach, and Musk replied with a brief "Much appreciated." On the same day as the announcement, Musk and Ramaswamy were supposed to visit Capitol Hill to meet with Republican members from both houses of Congress to talk about ways to cut wasteful expenditure and increase government efficiency.

After his post got a lot of attention online, Khanna brought attention to the matter by mentioning how interested the people was. Although "X isn't always real life," he did say that his post with 23 million views had more views than any other of his in his nine years as a congressman. Joining together with @DOGE to reduce unnecessary expenditure is a demand from millions of Americans. Spending money to make people's lives better, rather than waste it, is what I support. It seems obvious. Khanna may be among the first Democrats to publicly back DOGE, but he certainly isn't the only one. The DOGE Caucus, which is committed to bolstering the Department of Government Efficiency, has also welcomed Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL).
