DSNDP Volunteers from New Jersey participate in Cleanliness Drive

Volunteers of Dr. Shri. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), joined the New Jersey Transit Department August 10 in an Adopt-a-Station cleanup drive at the Edison and Rahway Plaza stations in New Jersey.
The 16 DSNDP volunteers collected 19 big bags of trash, collecting around 475 pounds of waste.
In alignment with the motto "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (The world is one family), DSNDP has aimed to foster a brighter future, advocating for cleanliness drives in collaboration with the US government since July 2022. These activities are guided by the organization founders, Appasaheb Dharmadhikari and Sachindada Dharmadhikari.
DSNDP has organized 16 cleanliness drives in New Jersey, engaging 280 volunteers who have worked for 648 volunteer hours, collected 257 bags of trash, The result: the effective disposal of 3,855 pounds of waste in two years.
DSNDP collaborates with 18 states and 73 cities across the United States for nationwide cleanliness drives, including 23 different programs, including adopting highways, parks, beaches, streets, rivers, etc.
During all these drives, DSNDP has engaged 2,120 volunteers, collecting more than 34,000 pounds of trash, saving the government a lot of money. The organisation has received accolades from various state and county governments in the form of 53 certificates and 51 sign boards within the nation.
The organization has also planted trees in 33 cities in 15 states.
Besides, DSNDP has been involved in health initiatives such as the Women's Cancer Awareness Conference successfully hosted in February 2023 and blood/plasma donation drives in Canada and the United States in recent years. DSNDP also recently organized a Mega Cleanliness Drive and Tree Conservation Event at 21 locations simultaneously to celebrate Earth Day 2024.
