Posting on X, Eric Garcetti offered his congratulations to Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra, a friend of his, on his appointment as the ambassador of India to the US! I am excited to continue our productive cooperation with you and work closely with you. I hope everything works out for you #USIndiaFWD.

Former Indian Foreign Secretary Kwatra took over as the country's ambassador to the United States on Tuesday. Kwatra takes over from Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who was India's former ambassador to the US and a prominent BJP leader.

It is with great honor that I take up the position of Indian ambassador to the USA. In a post on X, Kwatra stated that the team from the Indian Embassy in the US will keep working hard to strengthen this important collaboration.

In a statement that read, "USISPF warmly welcomes @AmbVMKwatra as he begins his tenure as the Indian Ambassador to the U.S.," the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum thanked India's new ambassador. We are excited to collaborate closely with him and the Indian Embassy in the US to strengthen the US-India relationship and wish him a fruitful and prosperous term. At a time when India-US relations are at an all-time high, Kwatra assumes the role of ambassador.

President Joe Biden considers the US-India relationship to be among the world's most important, according to a Monday (local time) statement from the White House. The two nations "work closely" on critical issues.

White House news Secretary Karine Jean Pierre stated during a news briefing that the United States and India collaborate on important matters, such as the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUAD). She went on to stress that going ahead, the United States intends to deepen its "critically important partnership" with India.

In the president's opinion, the relationship between the US and India is among the most important in the world. Through the Quad and the US-India partnership, among other channels, we collaborate closely with India on our top priorities, including this important and developing technology, as Jean Pierre put it.
