Donald Trump's Plane Diverted Due to Mechanical Issue En Route to Montana Rally

Montana, August 10t :
The jet carrying former US President Donald Trump was redirected to Billings on Friday (local time) owing to a technical problem, according to CBS News, citing airport officials. The technical issue, the specifics of which are now unknown, occurred just before Trump was due to hold a rally in Bozeman, Montana, on board his jet.

Supposedly, the rally would be held on Friday night (local time) by the former US president. At 8 p.m. local time (or 10 p.m. ET), it was intended to start. But according to a statement from Billings-Logan International Airport, his private plane touched down in Billings on Friday afternoon.

Bear in mind that Bozeman is situated around 150 miles to the west of Billings. According to CBS News, the airport confirmed that Trump's private plane "landed without incident" and mentioned that he is headed route to Bozeman.

While Trump is holding his first rally of the week, his opponents, including Senator JD Vance, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Governor Tim Walz, have been touring key swing states.

A little over a month ago, Trump was shot while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Montana has been considered a safe Republican state ever since Bill Clinton won the 1992 presidential campaign.

But according to CBS News, Trump is visiting the state to bolster Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy's chances of unseating Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Tester's re-election campaign in November.

In November 2022, Trump began his campaign to win back the presidency. He hopes to become the second president to win two non-consecutive terms in office, and he plans to retake the White House after a bitter exit in 2020.
