Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki Criticizes JD Vance, Says Americans Can Detect Inauthenticity

Washington, DC, August 9:
According to The Hill, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki criticized Republican US Vice Presidential contender and Ohio Senator JD Vance for his campaign trail, saying that voters can "sniff inauthenticity" lack Vance. "I think, in politics -- as we all know, we've all been around it a long time -- voters ... the American public can sniff inauthenticity," according to Psaki on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," along with the statement "This guy is... not authentic."
Some have criticized Vance for his behavior while campaigning. There was that time he got in trouble for making a joke about Diet Mountain Dew, and Democrats said, "it's racist to do anything." Furthermore, he has been criticized for his sudden change of heart regarding former President Trump, whom he had before opposed before backing and subsequently becoming his running mate in the 2024 US Presidential elections.
"He's not presenting himself as who he was for many decades before he had this kind of about-face ... in order to try to connect with the MAGA world," said to Psaki, as reported by The Hill."People can detect it just by sniffing it. Voters are intelligent, she continued.
Trump nominated JD Vance to be vice president, and Vance was quite critical of Trump before accepting the nomination.
"And that's, you know, a root problem for JD Vance, is that he is just not authentically who he presents himself to be, at all," according to Psaki.
On July 15, Donald Trump announced his choice for vice president, JD Vance. Trump had posted on Truth Social to confirm Vance's candidacy. This decision further elevates Vance, who had spent years criticizing Trump, to embrace the populist worldview of the former president.
On Wednesday, at approximately the same time as Vice President Kamala Harris's plane touched down in Wisconsin, JD Vance attempted to confront her on the tarmac.
Reuters footage showed Vance approaching the airport press gaggle and requesting a better view of Air Force Two. He asserted that Kamala Harris remains silent when approached by newsmen. He told reporters, "I figured I'd come by and just get a good look at the plane because hopefully, it's going to be my plane in a few months."
"But I also thought you guys might get lonely because the Vice President doesn't answer questions from reporters and hasn't for 17 days," according to him. "Have they explained to you why she refuses to answer reporters' questions? No. No one? "Alright, magnificent," he admonished the newsmen. He argued that the American people would benefit if Kamala Harris changed her mind.
Prior to Vance's press conference, US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, along with her running mate Tim Walz, posed for photographs on the tarmac with Girl Scout Troop #3303. Just seconds before their competitor walked over, the two leaders seemed to have departed.
On Tuesday, Harris named Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, as her running partner. Walz, 60, rose to prominence from a field of likely contenders hailing from states with an advantage in politics and higher levels of public recognition.
After Vance's jet touched down at Eau Claire Airport, the Harris campaign attempted to mock him by posting a video of the landing along with the TikTok-style audio commentary, "all of a sudden, I hear this agitating, grating voice."
According to Steven Cheung, a campaign spokesman for Donald Trump-Vance, "Make sure AF2 is deep cleaned because Lord only knows what @KamalaHarris and her team have done on there."
"The smell alone on that plane must be crazy," according to him.
At the most recent Democratic National Convention, Harris won the nomination for president with the backing of all 4,467 delegates (or 99 percent).
Following growing worries about his age, President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential election. This was in response to his underwhelming performance in the June debate with Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Trump is planning to return to the White House following his painful departure in 2020.
