Biden: Gunshot Wounds Top Cause of Child Deaths in America

July 17 :
in the wake of last week's failed effort to assassinate Donald Trump, US President Joe Biden expressed his shock and disgust at the situation, saying that more children die in the United States from gunshot wounds than any other cause. While criticizing Trump's policies and calling for the removal of firearms from the "streets of America," Biden spoke at the NAACP National Convention in Las Vegas on Wednesday (local time).

It is shocking, sickening, and cowardly that more children die from gunshot wounds than any other cause in the United States. "Join me in taking these weapons of war off American streets if you want to stand against violence in America," Biden urged.

Trump attempted to abolish Obamacare in order to deny health insurance to millions, if not millions, of Black Americans, Biden said, critiquing Trump for his actions from his prior administrations. "The super-wealthy and the biggest corporations benefited overwhelmingly from his USD 2 trillion tax cut, and the federal debt exploded—larger than any president has in one term." Furthermore, Biden leveled the accusation of "mismanagement of the pandemic" against Trump.

"He did not allow us to engage in activities that are important to people's lives, such as childcare, elder care, and many more, which contribute to economic growth and benefit society as a whole. "Black communities were hit particularly hard by this mismanagement of the pandemic," Biden stated.

No one has ever gotten hell from me, as Harry Truman put it. They thought it was terrible that I simply revealed the truth. The reality about why Black Americans had it so bad under Trump's presidency, according to President Biden. On Monday, Trump announced his choice for vice president, JD Vance, as the US presidential elections loom on the horizon. Trump used social media to officially endorse Vance's candidacy.

In April 2023, President Joe Biden began his re-election campaign, painting the race against Trump as a "stark choice" between the "destruction" of American democracy and its continuation. In the meantime, Trump began his campaign to win back the presidency in November 2022. After a painful resignation in 2020, he plans to return to the Oval Office and become the second president to win two non-consecutive terms.
