Punjabi Icon Diljit Dosanjh Meets with Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau

July 16 :
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made an unannounced appearance at the Rogers Centre, where the event was headlined by the famous Punjabi singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh. Trudeau spoke highly of Dosanjh, whose 'Dil-Luminati' tour has been making waves as of late."Punjabis are here" (Punjabis are here) was a cheer that Trudeau joined in on as the two, surrounded by Dosanjh's staff, experienced some euphoric moments.
While visiting the Rogers Centre to offer best wishes to Diljit Dosanjh before his performance, Trudeau shared a photo of their encounter on X. The fact that a man from Punjab can achieve legendary status and sell out stadiums is proof that Canada is a fantastic country. We are stronger as a result of our diversity. I'd call it a superpower.
The climax of Dosanjh's 'Dil-Luminati' tour was a sold-out show at the Rogers Centre, which can hold about 50,000 people. Dosanjh appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and shared the stage with international superstar Ed Sheeran during the tour, which started on April 28.
Diljit Dosanjh is still a major player in the Punjabi music industry, having made significant contributions and enjoying enormous popularity. He is also a well-known face in the Hindi film industry.
There was a lot of backlash to Prime Minister Trudeau's post since many people thought it was offensive that he referred to Dosanjh as a Punjabi gentleman instead of an Indian artist. “This guy is from India,” remarked one commenter. Your actions are being observed. Supporting the goals of your Khalistani separatist supporters in Canada so that you can maintain your grip on power.
The tensions between the two countries have been building since September of last year, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused Indian operatives of possibly being involved in the death of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The response follows this accusation.
