JD Vance Congratulated by Kamala Harris in Voicemail Following Trump’s VP Nomination

Milwaukee, July 16 :
Upon learning that former president Donald Trump has selected Republican Ohio senator JD Vance to serve as his vice president on Truth Social, Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly left a congratulatory voicemail for Vance on Monday.
An official from the Biden-Harris campaign verified that Harris congratulated Vance and mentioned that "she hoped to see [Vance] at the CBS News debate" in her message. A vice presidential debate will be held by CBS News, as agreed upon by the Biden campaign; nevertheless, the Trump camp has been pushing for a debate to be held on Fox News. The Republican National Committee delegates at its Milwaukee convention unanimously chose Vance to be the party's official nominee for vice president.
Harris reportedly complimented Vance on his selection and "welcomed him to the race," according to CNN. According to The New York Post, if elected with Trump, Vance would make history as the second-youngest vice president in the United States. "After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator JD Vance of the Great State of Ohio," Trump said in a blog post.
JD earned the title of "Honorary Marine Corps Veteran," completed his undergraduate degree in two years with honors from Ohio State University, and went on to become the editor of The Yale Law Journal and president of the Yale Law Veterans Association after graduating from Yale Law School.
"JD's book, 'Hillbilly Elegy,' became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country," he said in his memoir. "JD has had a very successful business career in Technology and Finance, and now, during the Campaign, will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond," according to his post.
