Donald Trump Assassination Attempt: Indian Diaspora Council Speaks Out Against Violence

July 15 :
After the attempted murder of former president Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13, the Indian Diaspora Council International (IDC) has issued a firm and clear condemnation. As a criminal act intended to undermine free speech and the political process while frightening innocent people and elected leaders, the attack was denounced by the IDC as foolish and unnecessary.
Our hearts go out to the victims of the senseless slaughter that has become all too common in America as a result of the easy access to firearms. The council issued a statement stating that these acts, regardless of political leanings, should be seen as irrational, illegal, and carried out in opposition to social standards.
IDC expresses its gratitude to the medical services and law police for their rapid and thorough response in coordinating the situation. The director of Community Cultural Affairs at IDC, Nicole Bissessar, stated that we are completely behind any efforts to apprehend the offender(s) and bring peace, stability, and trust back into the air.
Trump was taken to a nearby hospital by the Secret Service after the incident; his injuries are not life-threatening. One rallygoer has died and other others have been hurt in the incident.
The FBI has identified the shooter as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and at the scene of the crime, law enforcement officers opened fire, killing Crooks. The former president was allegedly assaulted by thugs while he was standing outside the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally site at an agricultural show, as reported by the Secret Service. The event is still being investigated, according to the agency.
