Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar Endorses Biden for Re-Election

July 6 :
Shri Thanedar, an Indian American from Michigan-13, has denied rumors that President Biden may stand down and stated his unwavering support for Biden's re-election. Thanedar lauded President Biden for his record-breaking infrastructure spending, investments in semiconductors and supply chains through the CHIPS Act, drops in insulin prices, and passage of the first significant gun safety legislation in almost 30 years, among other first-term accomplishments.
The congressman claims that the 13th congressional district of Michigan has shared in the $320 million in infrastructure funding that Biden secured as a result of his legislative achievements. Repairs to roads, replacement of lead lines, reduction of floods, and investments in emergency response have all been made possible by these funding. Thanedar also mentioned that President Biden has some serious ideas to lower housing costs and improve the district's affordability.
Just about a month ago, I sat about twenty feet behind President Biden as he spent nearly an hour outlining his plans for the nation. He has expressed his fondness for Detroit and empathy for our plight in several one-on-one talks that I've had with him. In a statement, Thanedar confirmed that the individual was indeed elected in 2020, when he proved to be the most effective leader the country has seen in recent history.
We still have a long way to go, and the federal government should put more money into sectors like housing. It seems like a no-brainer to me. We can expect increased government funding for our district under President Biden, in contrast to Trump, who will just continue to benefit the wealthy through tax cuts. He firmly stated that President Biden is the finest choice for the 13th District and that he has his complete support.
Having overcome the hardships of his impoverished childhood in India, Congressman Thanedar has devoted his life's work to fighting for economic and social equality. In his re-election campaign for Congress in 2022, he plans to continue advocating for measures that would help all citizens of Michigan, such as ending poverty and building stronger communities.
