Trump Suggests Automatic Green Cards for Foreign Graduates of U.S. Universities

June 21 :
The notoriously anti-immigration former US president Donald Trump made the suggestion that international students who complete their studies in the US should be granted a green card immediately, allowing them to remain in the country. This proposal was made in Washington DC on June 21.
Keeping the world's top brains who are interested in staying in the US and have ideas that will help the country was something he emphasised. "You graduate from a college, I think you should automatically get a green card to be able to stay in this country," Trump said on an episode of the All-In podcast, which is hosted by many venture capitalists. He also mentioned junior colleges. He proposed the plan in response to the host's question on whether he would pledge to "give us ability to import the best and brightest around the world to America."
It is worth mentioning that the previous president consistently employed strong language on illegal immigration during his campaign. The president's inability to reduce the number of illegal migrants crossing the border was recently criticised by him. The tough position on immigration that Trump has taken is well-known. According to Politico, he has pledged to deport large numbers of people, repeal birthright citizenship, and reinstate his ban on immigration from certain countries with a majority of Muslims if re-elected.
Although just 452 miles of the wall had been constructed by the time Trump departed office, he had repeatedly pledged to construct the wall along the US-Mexico border during his presidency. It is not certain, however, whether Trump's proposal also covers individuals who entered the nation unlawfully.
In my experience, there have been cases of recent college grads who were utterly determined to remain in the area and who came up with an innovative business plan or idea. "And they can't," Trump reportedly said, according to Politico. Someone may be so worried about their immigration status that they are unable to even negotiate a contract with a business after graduating at the top of their class. "That will be terminated on the very first day," he continued.
