Donald Trump Rally Sees 11 Hospitalized for Heat Exhaustion

Washington DC, June 7,:
The Hill reported that almost a dozen individuals were hospitalised in Phoenix, Arizona, as a result of heat exhaustion, while waiting in line for an event featuring former President Donald Trump. According to The Hill citing ABC15, the Phoenix Fire Department sent 11 individuals to the hospital after responding to the event at Dream City Church in north Phoenix.

The Phoenix National Weather Service said that Thursday's temperatures hit 110 degrees Fahrenheit, the highest recorded that day, and later tied the 2016 record of 111 degrees. The region is bracing for the first heat wave of the season following last year's record-breaking summer.

In addition, as stated by The Hill, some individuals need medical assistance after passing out from the intense heatwave, as evidenced by images and videos circulated online. The Hill also contacted Trump's campaign for a comment. The conservative youth organisation Turning Point Action hosted the event with the goal of getting more people to vote, even though Trump was previously against the idea of early and mail-in voting.

According to The Hill and the Arizona Republic, the former president has visited the Dream City Church twice for events.
As his second public appearance since the COVID-19 quarantine began, Trump hosted an indoor event in June 2020. According to the Republic, church authorities falsely asserted that their air filtration equipment could eliminate "99.9%" of COVID-19 in just 10 minutes.

Eight members of Trump's 2020 campaign crew reportedly tested positive following his event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, only days prior to the inaugural Dream City Church rally. Trump also has a 3.3 percentage point edge over Biden in Arizona, according to recent polls.
