Launch of Starliner crew flight scheduled for June 5 by Boeing and NASA

June 1 :
After a failed first test flight on June 1, Boeing and NASA announced on June 2 that their teams are getting ready to launch the new Starliner space capsule on June 5. On June 1, the Starliner spacecraft was prepared to take off from NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida when an automated abort command was sent out by a computer system on the ground, ending the launch.

An issue was found with a ground power supply within one of the chassis that supplies power to a subset of computer cards controlling various system functions. Overnight, NASA teams worked to assess the launch pad's ground support equipment, which had problems during the countdown. The malfunctioning ground power unit's chassis was taken apart, examined visually, and subsequently replaced with a spare chassis, according to the space agency.

Boeing continues to strive for a larger portion of the lucrative NASA contract that Elon Musk's SpaceX now controls by celebrating the first crewed flight to the International Space Station (ISS) with two astronauts aboard the CST-200 Starliner.
following taking off, the Starliner will dock with the research outpost 250 miles (402 km) above Earth following an approximately 24-hour voyage.
