An event to benefit the Hindu University of America in Virginia is being held by the DMV branch

May 30
The "Vision 2029" event, put on by the Friends of Hindu University of America (HUA) DMV chapter, took place on May 23 at Admiral Hills in Vienna, Virginia, and was sure to inspire. Roughly sixty people turned out in full force to demonstrate their solidarity with the fundraising. The focus this year was on Ayurveda and Holistic Health.
The five-year plan laid out by HUA president Kalyan Viswanathan includes important goals and strategic actions to increase the university's impact and appeal. A thorough understanding of Hindu traditions, culture, and philosophy may be advanced by active community engagement and strong academic offerings, as he emphasised in his talk.
The kind commitment of $250,000 over the course of five years was given by Dr. Japobrata Choudhury, who deserves special mention. With this large donation, HUA will be able to continue its important work and launch new initiatives to help students and scholars. Community Outreach director Esther Dhanraj also shared her story of coming to terms with her faith and spirituality during the event. Academic institutions like HUA, she said, are vital in protecting and spreading Hinduism's illustrious history.
A strong commitment to HUA's purpose and the widespread support for its goals were on display during the Vision 2029 event. Participants renewed their commitment to the Vision 2029 plan's aims and shared ideas during the lively conversation that followed the gathering's conclusion. Teachings in Hinduism's tenets, practices, and traditions are available through HUA's many programmes and projects, which aim to increase awareness of and respect for Hinduism's influence over the world.
