Report: Trump May Appoint Elon Musk as White House Advisor if Re-elected

May 30th, Washington, DC:
As the 2024 presidential elections approach former US President Donald Trump is contemplating designating Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, to the position of adviser to him in the White House.
Despite Trump's lack of clarity, he and Musk have been discussing the possibility of Musk offering "formal input" on issues such as the border, the economy, and the prevention of vote fraud. Trump and Musk, the world's third-wealthiest man, have just recently started to warm up to each other.
Trump has reportedly spoken with billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz about the effort that Musk launched in November to discourage corporate CEOs from endorsing President Biden. The man of Space X and X, a social media platform, has spoken out against Biden and said he won't donate to any political candidate.
The South African-born millionaire, though, has positioned himself as largely independent. Musk was granted US citizenship in 2002. Following Trump's victories on Super Tuesday, which secured his place as the presumptive Republican nominee, Musk met with the former president at Mar-a-Lago, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Musk stated in a March cryptic tweet about the US presidential elections that he will not be donating to either candidate. The billionaire posted on X, "Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President." Like many other business tycoons, Musk has donated to political parties in the past.
According to the New York Times, he has contributed almost evenly to Republican and Democratic causes throughout the years, and unlike other American billionaires, he has not made a significant investment in a presidential race. The presidential elections, set for November of this year, will pit Trump against Biden. While Trump deals with a number of criminal charges, Biden deals with difficulties related to his foreign policy and domestic policies, especially the situation in Gaza and Ukraine.
