An international GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry is soon to be established.

May 27 :
GOPIO leaders and businesses from the New York region gathered for a brainstorming session to discuss expansion prospects. This followed the relaunch of the GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) during the GOPIO Convention 2024 in April. The New York City conference room of Braj Aggarwal CPA PC served as the site of the gathering.

In attendance was Indian lawyer Nachiket Dave, who has represented clients before the Supreme Court and the High Court of Gujarat. In addition to helping to form the GCCI chapter in Ahmedabad, Dave is planning to participate in the organization's GOPIO-Ahmedabad chapter.

GOPIO Global Ambassador Prakash Shah and GOPIO Chairman Dr. Thomas Abraham presided over the meeting. Meeting attendees also included GOPIO chapter executives from North Jersey, Manhattan, and Connecticut.

The goals of the non-geographical chapter of GOPIO International, GICC, are as follows: to provide a platform for networking among Indian diaspora businessmen and professionals; to encourage and promote increasing levels of business investments by and among NRIs and PIOs worldwide; to bring Indian businesses closer to their diaspora counterparts so that they can network, collaborate, and form joint ventures; and to organise and host regional and international business and investment seminars, forums, symposia, trade exhibitions, conferences, and forums to encourage networking among investors and potential investment countries in the areas of technology exchange, trade, and tourism.
