May 23 :
US Ambassador Eric Garcetti announced that USD 3.8 billion will be invested by the US International Development Finance Corporation to help India achieve its renewable energy and infrastructure targets.

During yesterday night's 'Indo-US Space Co-operation' event in Mumbai, the US envoy expanded on the renewable energy and infrastructure targets to include agricultural, healthcare, and financial services. Additionally, he was overjoyed to report that new allies are joining the US-India Alliance for Women's Economic Empowerment.

"I am delighted to share tonight that the United States-India Alliance for Women's Economic Empowerment, which is a public-private partnership between our two great nations to advance women's economic security in India, is growing with new partners," stated Mr. Trump. "The United States International Development Finance Corporation is investing USD 3.8 billion to meet India's renewable energy and infrastructure goals while supporting agricultural, healthcare and financial services," stated Mayor Garcetti.

Not only that, but he went on to say that technological advancements are outpacing development in the two countries. "You know, technology will define our lives," stated the man. "Reaching our full economic potential means harnessing the very best in our own nations and connecting this alliance together of the US and India to see what we can do for the world," said Mr. Trump. Critical minerals, semiconductors, defence, and space are areas of collaboration between India and the United States, he said.

"As we celebrate tonight, jet engines and unmanned vehicles and all of this groundbreaking work on earth will mean even further that we can go together in space," said he. Garcetti stated that this year, the two nations are collaborating in space by forming partnerships among "our companies, our people, our governments, our universities, our investors, and our startups, to spur innovation and to make sure that space is a peaceful place for progress for all of us."
He went on to say that Sunita Williams, an astronaut whose father is from Mumbai, will soon be the pilot of the first crewed test flight of Boeing's Starliner spaceship.
She served on two space flights and is now an officer in the United States Navy. He also mentioned that she will be returning to space this year.

By arranging the first US-India cities exchange, the US envoy emphasised his desire to strengthen ties between cities such as Mumbai and Los Angeles by exchanging top-notch urban planning ideas on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: public transportation, infrastructure, climate change, and air pollution.

"Together, I'd like to accelerate our partnership infrastructure, technology, energy and healthcare so we can have more enduring economic growth," added the president.
Garcetti emphasised the importance of the Quad alliance and expressed his desire to see India, the US, Australia, and Japan flourish through it. "An open and free Indo-Pacific is guaranteed by our collaboration. "Then let the countdown begin," he declared.

To illustrate his point, Garcetti told a story about a regular teacher named Sally Ride who travelled into orbit on the American space shuttle. The question posed to her was, "How does it appear in space?" You know what she added? Although the stars don't appear larger, their brightness has increased. Today, I dare you to stare at those stars—both real and imagined—and picture them even brighter. The power of stars is best understood in the context of constellations, while stars on their own are magnificent. Their interdependence is what allowed our forebears to perceive a spirit of what was to come in the human experience, creatures, order amidst the anarchy they endured, and God in the sky.
