A million dollars raised for Indian-American congressional candidate Krystle Kaul

May 17 :
Krystle Kaul of Loudoun, Virginia, who is also a professor, small company owner, and former Defence Department director, stated on May 16 that she has raised more than $1,000,000 this cycle. While early voting in VA-10 continues, efforts to raise funds are still occurring.

My unwavering commitment to greatness has propelled me to repeatedly shatter barriers over my tenure, spanning from the CIA to the US Central Command and the Pentagon. In a statement, Kaul announced that he had become one of the Department of Defense's youngest directors.

Sometimes people tell me I can't do something, but then I do it. Donors who value practical, results-oriented leadership have responded strongly to our campaign's pioneering attitude, and I couldn't be happier to share the news with them. The overwhelming backing we've gotten shows that Virginians want a leader who understands the complexities of modern technology and national security and can put successful policies into place. Thanks to the faith and dedication of our supporters, our campaign is able to turn words into deeds. Our district and the world will never be the same when we take office.

Leadership in Congress that is serious and focused on progress is desperately needed right now. A qualified woman of colour with substantial policy expertise, fighting experience, and a history of success would be an ideal fit for VA-10. "I'm thrilled to spearhead the effort to elect a Democrat to the House of Representatives representing national security," she finished by saying.

Our grassroots campaign has raised over $1 million! We are proud to announce this! We are pleased to be the leading female and in-district cash-on-hand provider since the community has reacted to our message! Kaul stated in an X post.

Representing a district that is 44% minority, Kaul stands alone among Democratic candidates as an Indian American woman. If she were to be elected, she would join Pramila Jayapal as the sole other Indian-American woman in Congress.

Kaul would be joining an elite group of female lawmakers who possess crucial knowledge at a time when America confronts grave challenges on both the home and foreign fronts, thanks to her considerable experience in education and national security. While pursuing a doctorate in political science at Brown University, Kaul earned an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. from American University. She is fluent in nine languages: Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Punjabi, Dari, Kashmiri, Spanish, and Italian. Along with her polygraph, she possesses a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
