Volunteer Assembly in New Jersey for TEAM Aid Event Draws Community Support

New Jersey recently played host to a volunteer gathering for TEAM Aid, an organisation that relies on volunteers to aid those in need. Binaya Pradhan, the Consul General of India in New York, together with more than seventy-five volunteers from seven US states, were in attendance at the gathering. Mohan Nannapaneni and his colleagues were commended by the Consul General for their significant community service.

The group aids Indian families dealing with the unexpected loss of loved ones in the US, In addition to assisting with typical religious cremations and funerals overseas, TEAM Aid volunteers assist in repatriating the remains of those who have passed away. We feel a strong connection to them and are here to support them," expressed the spokesperson. "The idea behind the gathering is to inspire our volunteers and inform the community leaders about TEAM Aid's work," they elaborated. The group's website states, "We do not pity the wounded; we become the wounded." This sentiment was reaffirmed, highlighting that more than 3,000 TEAM Aid volunteers from the US and Canada contribute to repatriation operations and uphold families' dignity during these difficult moments.
