Grand opening, Midwest - 1st South Asian Drive-in Restaurant by Indian American Masood Ali and Mannan Khan

Chicago IL: Masood Ali and Mannan Khan recently opened a new restaurant and Banquets in the heart of the Indo - Pak community. The Grand opening of Falak Restaurant and Banquets which is located at 233 E Roosevelt Rd, Lombard, IL 60148, was held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The celebration included a Ribbon cutting ceremony and dinner to the family, friends and invited guests. 

Invited guest were from medical procession, education, sports, and business field including Iftekhar Shareef [Community activist; Chairman, FIA), Keerthi Ravoori (Former FIA President), Ajay Agnihotri (Former FIA President), Sanhita Agnihotri (Former FIA President), Chandrakant Modi MD (Member of flying doctors team), Khurram Syed, Samina Shoukatulla (Board Member Islamic Foundation); Villa park), Rizwan ul Haque (Board Member Masjid UL Huda, Schaumburg); Sajid Ali (IT Manager, Advocate group), Syed Ansar Rizvi (GEO TV), Syed Khalil Ullah (South Asian Media) and Suresh Bodiwala (Asian Media USA).

Iftekhar Shareef (Community activist) right after ribbon cutting ceremony praised the owner Masood Ali a well-educated who hails from a respected family of Hyderabad, India, who is known for his catering for community events and large functions for past 15 years. Iftekhar Shareef said that “Masood Ali bought this Banquet Hall & Restaurant from Shri Surender Jain of Viceroy of India Restaurant. This place is known to the community for several years. During this tuff time of COVID, it’s hard to run a Banquet hall without the support of our community..

After serving the community consistently for over 15 years by providing delicious, high quality food and excellent service in catering, Masood Ali brings to you fine dining experience at “Falak Restaurant and Banquets” dedicated to provide consistently high standard of authentic Indian, Pakistani and Persian cuisine with the highest level of customer service. The restaurant offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to customers to enjoy the delicious food. We use the best quality of ingredients; we make our own blend of spices which makes our food taste authentic and unique. Falak Restaurant and Banquets has been serving the Chicagoland community for years and their Hyderabadi Dum biryani is the hot favorite. We use humanely raised and hand slaughtered poultry and meat which is vegetarian feed and free of hormones and antibiotics. 

Due to COVID19 Masood and Mannan believed in “Safety First” for customers and team and hence decided to launch his drive-in restaurant. The drive-in restaurant will help in social distancing to prevent spread of Covid 19. Ali said that “We have restaurant, carryout and banquets service, but had to think out of the box and launch the drive-in service.” We are open for indoor 25 % of limited seating. Currently we are taking bookings for a banquet hall for 50 people also we are taking bookings for outside parties at a very reasonable price. We are open Saturday and Sunday 12:00 Noon – 10:00 PM; Monday- Off; Tuesday - Friday 12:00 Noon – 9:00 PM.

Cyril Gaddam said that “I ordered half tray mutton biryani today. It was so delicious. They just took out the biryani from the oven and it was so fresh, and the meat was so tender. We really enjoyed the mutton biryani. I strongly suggest this place”.

Syed Quadri said that “I Loved the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani Super delicious. Very nice place to eat with family food was awesome”.

Jessica Young-Eleazar said that “We chose Falak for dinner because they had outdoor seating and we were not disappointed. The food was very yummy (Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Paneer, Butter Chicken, and Seekh Kebab) and the service was wonderful!”

Matthew Hill said that “Amazing food the chicken biryani was bursting with flavor the chicken was tender and flavorful, I also had ordered the chicken 65 it had a very nice kick to it and had a very vibrant and pronounced taste. The butter chicken also was one of the highlights of my meal it tasted amazing it was creamy but still light enough the chicken was very aromatic and tender over all it was an amazing and hearty meal; very good meal.”
