Jail time for Small Business Owners as DOJ launches investigation in to covid-19 Loans
A new move by Department of Justice started an investigation in to the Covid-19 loan program specifically the PPP Payroll Protection program and it warrants jail time for Small Business Owners if found guilty of using the money for not the purpose it is intended to. DOJ launches an investigation in to covid-19 Loans.
Assistant Attorney General Brian Benczkowski will be leading the probe. This will affect companies that applied for emergency disaster loans specifically PPP Payroll Protection Program. Under the Payroll Protection Program Small Businesses and even some large businesses have received millions in loans and those are in some cases forgive-able loans too depending on the use of it.
The program was really meant to help small businesses hurt by the crisis of covid-19 pandemic in USA. Attorney General Benczkowski said that whenever there is billions of dollars are out on street fraudsters increases to acquire the money in anyway they can.
