COLUMBUS- Today, State Representative Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg) congratulated Pramod Jhaveri on being sworn-in this past Monday for his third term as a Blue Ash City Councilman. Coming to the United States from India in 1970, Jhaveri is the first Indian-American to be a Blue Ash City Council member.

“It is a great honor to serve a third term on the Blue Ash City Council. I believe in being a positive voice for the people I represent in Blue Ash. I look forward to continuing my advocacy for projects that drive our thriving economy, create jobs and inspire others to get involved in our community. I am honored to be one of a few Indian American local officials across the country,” Pramod Jhaveri said.

As the only Indian-American state elected official, Representative Antani lauded Councilman Jhaveri’s accomplishment.

“I am proud of my friend Pramod’s hard work and perseverance. Through his achievement of serving a third term as City Councilman, he continues to succeed in what the American Dream looks like to him and his family. I look forward to the good work he implements for residents in the Blue Ash community. We need Indian-Americans serving in all aspects of our governments, including in local governments like city councils,” Representative Antani said.
