Valencia (Spain), May 17 More than 7,000 fans gathered on the stands of Mestalla stadium here to witnesses CF Valencia's open practice session.

Coach Marcelino Garcia Torral has been preparing the team for next Sunday's match in Mestalla against the already relegated Deportivo, reports Efe.

The hosts will likewise have nothing on the line as Valencia have nailed down fourth place in La Liga and the Champions League berth that goes with it.

Marcelino put nearly every player on the field for practice on Wednesday except for those who are injured and Ferran Torres, who is training with Spain's Under-19 team.

Defender Toni Lato trained on the sidelines due to an injury.

The open practice was also attended by club president Anil Murthy and directors Kim Koh and Juan Cruz Sol, who witnessed the training session from the stadium's box seats.

This was Valencia's third open-door practice of the season, following similar events over the Christmas holidays and during Holy Week.
