BAPS Charities Hosts Walk Green 2018: Annual Walkathon

May 12, 2018: On June 3rd, 2018, BAPS Charities, BAPS Long Island NY, will host its annual walkathon in support of NewsDay Charitiesand The Nature Conservancy.
Strengthening its commitment to protect the environment, BAPS Charities will contribute $165,000, an equivalent of planting 130,000 trees, to The Nature Conservancy to support their initiative to plant a billion trees globally by 2025. The Nature Conservancy believes in active conservation of the lands and waters on earth to sustain life for upcoming generations.
Nearly 800 participants are expected to join in this act of community service. This event will help instill consciousness in community memberssurrounding their actions, in turn, inspiring global harmony with nature. All members of the community are invited to participate and may register as a walker at https://Goo.gl/PpEvSv. There is no registration fee. Parking available on site and lunch will be served. Registration starts at 9 AM and walk would start at 11 AM.
